CZECH TOP
100
Bernard: “Fourteen years ago everybody would have been flabbergasted”.

Prague, Humpolec – 1st April 2005 – The Bernard Family Brewery has became the third most admired firm of the Czech Republic in the prestigious competition “CZECH TOP 100 for 2005” in the category “ Food and tobacco industry”, after the Plzeň-based Prazdroj and Budvar from České Budějovice. And at the same time it has defended the 1st place in the “Highlands Region” already for the forth time in series.

“When we purchased the bankrupted brewery in auction, there was hardly anyone who would be willing to bet on us, people rather tended to hold their brows, instead,” says the co-proprietor of the brewery, Ing. Stanislav Bernard, in his assessment of the competition result, and stresses: “Today, after fourteen years of doing business there, we belong among the top entities in the field of foodstuffs and tobacco products. We leave behind us a lot of firms with much higher capital as well as a much longer tradition. We are proud of this success.”

The assessment criteria consist e.g. of the high quality of products and services, of innovation abilities of the firm, but also of the openness of communication and relations to the company.

This, already the seventh year of the CZECH TOP 100 competition which traditionally belongs among the prestigious assessment scales of companies, takes place regularly in 25 branches of  industry. The competition was attended approximately by 750 firms from all over the Czech Republic, and 1500 professionals were selected, especially top managers, economic and financial analytics, representatives of professional associations and specialised university education facilities.
